The OTE Group’s maiden venture into manufacturing sector has taken the shape in the form of Gulf Additives LLC (GAL). The company manufactures masterbatches (colour concentrates) for the plastic industry.

Gulf Additives LLC went into commercial production in the first half of 2004. The state-of-the art factory was inaugurated by HE Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al Qatabi president of Majlis Al Shura and HE Proll Ervin, Governor of Lower Austria on 22nd March 2004. Sheikh Suhail Bahwan, Chairman of Suhail Bahwan Group and Sheikh Saad Bahwan, Chairman of OTE Group were present.

GAL has been set up as a joint venture with Gabriel-Chemie Group, Austria and is supplying masterbatches to all the leading plastic processors in the Sultanate of Oman. Export to other GCC countries have already started.
