xactly a year after their brilliant victory in the Pharaoh’s Rally, PS22 standard truck tyres have repeated their performance with an extraordinary win in the Egyptian marathon.
irelli PS22s, which are mounted on Italian vehicles in size 14.00 R20, made the difference on a wide range of varying surfaces in the 2006 Pharaoh’s Rally, one of the best known and most demanding desert races in the rally-raid category. It is run over surfaces packed with danger, where stones, expanses of sand and hard unmade tracts alternate.

six of the seven stages and
he set the fifth fastest time
of all on one of them. That
performance enabled the Team
Motorsport Italia Eurotrakker
to finish the 2006 Rally of
the Pharaohs in 11th place overall.
The expert Italian driver competed
in the Egyptian event as a “dress
rehearsal” before taking part
in the famous “Dakar “ raid
in 2007.
